Tribute Performance to Richard Shraier

 
 
 
I just found these pictures on one of my external hard drives. These were taken June 2007 at my old high school. Hamilton High Academy of Music in Los Angeles. This evening we performed for Mr. Schraier as his going away gift. He left the school. My high school was just like the tv show "Fame" where we concentrated heavily on the arts and in music. I did Musical Theatre, Drama, Student Council, Madrigals, piano, and all kinds of other activities. We had 7 periods because of the extra music classes. The brunette in the pictures was the music coordinator and director for our performance that evening. Her name is Diane Feldman Turen, she has a children's musical theatre company in Los Angeles. Check it out by CLICKING HERE! The Blond woman is Ilene Graff, she is a big time actress. She helped organize the event that evening as well. She was in the "Mr Belvedere" tv series and the movie "South Pacific," among many other roles. Check her out by CLICKING HERE! The next gentleman is Jim Berk, he was the youngest high school principal when he was my principal at Hamilton High. I remember he had a cell phone that he hung around his shoulder because it was like a mini suitcase or pad. So the base hung from the case and then the handset would extend out of it with a traditional phone coil cord. He's been the head of many companies like Hard Rock International. We worked with the Grammy Foundation and is an awesome man. He's now the CEO of Participant Media the folks who put out enlightening films. Read about him by CLICKING HERE!

This is how much I love Las Vegas, I'm at a Community BBQ with Oscar Goodman, the Mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada. Here is a link to the Las Vegas City website CLICKING HERE! The other pictures are of the nearly completed "Encore" tower that is the addition to the Wynn Resort. This place is gonna have some amazing convention center space and will be excellent. The Tutor Saliba Corporation has been building it. Mr. Ron Tutor is a man who I'd like to call my friend. This gentleman flies around in his own private Boeing BBJ or Boeing 737 Business Jet. Yes it's the size of a Southwest Plane but it's all private with a stateroom and the works. He is also a major part of Perini that has built a lot of Las Vegas and has several projects underway like the City Center and others worldwide. Have we ever been rollerblading together? If not...here's your chance! Only view these videos if you have absolutely nothing else to do or you may get upset at me. Oh yeah, don't give me hell because how messed up I look in these videos. People ask me. "Jorge, are they really instructional videos on how to skate?" I usually reply by saying that they fun to film but that's it. What are you waiting for? Go get started with lesson 1 and by lesson 7 you will at least know me better and still not know how to skate. Friends at ICSC with Traffic Info!

 
 
 
 
Here I am with some friends at the Diversity Reception that was held at the Wynn Resort. We had a great time. The american man is Rolf Kilian and he heads up the company called Metro Transportation Group, Inc. Here is his website CLICKING HERE!They do global planning for governments and the transportation needs of the city. Have you been in a large city lately and seen traffic cameras at just about every intersection pointing in every direction? Rolf explained that instead of using ground sensors to do traffic counts...they use a digital imaging system that counts the traffic as it enters the screen of the camera display. Very cool. Of yeah I forgot...the local authorities also have access to the data. Departments of Commerce rely heavily on traffic counts to lure franchises and stores to open in their municipality. Have youy ever noticed that they don't just place a McDonalds anywhere. Usually they are on the "Breakfast Side" of the street. That means that they are in the path of most traffic of people going to work and moving in a general direction. In this fashion that traffic can make an easy right turn into the drive thru, buy coffee and a sausage mcmuffin and get right back on their path to work. Imagine if you had to make a left turn or a u-turn? Most folks wouldn't stop. Makes perfect sense. See you, Jorge Bueno

This was at the Las Vegas Convention Center. THey hosted the Internatonal Council of Shopping Centers a few weeks ago. They serve the global retail I was there along with approximately 50,000 other developers and commercial real estate people from all over the world. Look at the production value, they did an awesome job. In the seated interview picture you have a reported and Myron E. “MIKE” Ullman, III or just Mike Ullman, the Chairman of JC Penney and the guy responsible for their new image campaign "Every Day Matters." Hey everyone, Have you heard the popular Barry Manilow song "Mandy?" I love that song by the way. Here is a picture of the ad for the show in the Las Vegas Hilton lobby. If you happen to be a REAL fan...go ahead and buy his WATER that I heard is complete with private label with his name and even a teaspoon of his saliva! No, just playing. What about the high gas prices? That is an easy fix! Just go out and make more money and there, no reason to complain. Ok, now there is a dude named "Berry Manilow" and he made a video about high gas prices and the oil industry, but he sang it to the tune of "Mandy." As many of you already know...I'm taking flying lessons and am really close to getting my private pilot's license. I'm probably gonna buy a Cirrus SR-22. I've been learning mainly on a Cessna 172. I took these as I flew over the Magic Mountain Theme Park in Santa Clarita, CA. near Los Angeles, CA. It doesn't look too impressive from 4k feet does it? Jorge Bueno

This is exactly what my view was on Tuesday May 21, 2008 at 2pm. I was at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club on Karen and Paradise St. right next to the Original Hilton Casino. I actually WAS working at this moment...I was reading a great book and listening to the relaxing music of "Cusco," while I analized the potency of the new new water resistant sun block. Hi everyone here I am at the Diversity Reception at the Wynn Hotel and Resort in Las Vegas. Check out that intense Yachting tan...yeah I had been out on the water before heading out to Vegas for this Commercial Real Estate Event. This was during the week of the large yearly International Council Of Shopping Centers ReCon event. Right around 50k people at the convention center. Pepe Aguilar is a fan of Jorge Bueno

Or did I mean to say that Jorge Bueno,is a fan a Pepe Aguilar! Ok, both. This is one of my favorite singers in the Spanish Language. His name is Pepe Aguilar, he is the son of two very famous and Mexican icons. His mother is Flor Sylvestre and his father is the late Antonio Aguilar, who recently departed us in June 2007. Their names are the links for your reference and convenience. These folks made just about 200 movies in Mexico and are very well known. Pepe's voice is powerful and pleasing to the ear. His music is very Mexican and traditional, and at the same time he also has some contemporary ballads that have done very well for him. I recommend his music and consider myself a great fan. Freemasonry Founded America!

George Washington and Benjamin Franklin were Freemasons? Yes, and so were many of our other founding fathers. It is just a fascinating jorney of information to discover secrets and information that has been carefully taken out of our school textbooks. I grew up with masonic roots and before you all jump to conclusions let me clear a few things up right now. No, masons do not drink blood or anything wierd like that. They don't run around naked or skin cats alive. They're not evil or want to enslave you. The majority of things you hear false and have no verifiable basis. I will tell you this...the very religion that you run your life by is probably modeled after masonic teachings. The way your court rooms and government is run, is modeled after masonic traditions. It is the oldest fraternal organization in the world therefore you better believe that they have been doing something right. Try this! Try focusing on the positive effects. Beginning with the fact that if you live in the US, our laws, constitution, declaration of independence, many other significant writings and events have come to be by the labors and passions of freemasons. Our current government is the one that has slowly been taking away our freedoms. Look at the Patriot act for example. I'm not very political nor am I an anti-government individual either. I enjoy history and in the past when a people gave up it's power to a centralized power or government....it has never been good. That is my food for thought for now. Private Jet or Misery? Which do you want?

It's not how good you are at what it is you DO in life, BUT how good you are at who it is you ARE in life. I got that from my mentor and friend Joel Bauer, who I believe got it from another gentleman and author that also made elegant choices.
Just when you think you've made it you look across the airport and spot a Boeing Business Jet like the one above! And it costs around $50 Million Bucks..wow! It's huge and even has a bedroom! Check this site out HERE
Given the choice of traveling on a regular commercial flight or on a private jet seems like a simple choice right? Well..not always. For example...let me ask you a question. From Los Angeles to Las Vegas, it's about an hour and a half flight time. Do you want to spend $125.00 round trip on Southwest? Or $20,000 on a private jet? And that's a short flight! Imagine a flight from LA to New York? Five and half hours? $395.00 round trip on coach or almost $100,000 round trip on a Gulfstream G500. I've done both many many times, from private jets at the executive terminals, to coach class, business class, to first class and to "Miserable Class!" The "Miserable Class" is basically coach class with you sandwiched in the middle! You have a smelly person to your left wants to talk while you want to relax and watch a DVD. The person probes you with very strange personal questions like "What are you doing when we land? Do you want to give me a ride?" After you cut them off and put your headphones on...they get the hint and they decide that you are a pillow and fall asleep with their mouth open while breathing their halitosis on you the entire time. At the same time you have a person to your right who is seated as if they were the king and ruler of the airline and their coach seat is their throne. You know the type maybe they are naturally larger but not always, some guys seem to want to sit with their legs open and their left knee directly in front of you. They take up both arm rests and their left elbow is poking your rib cage for half of the flight. The worst part is when they take off their shoes and it smells like Doritos, Cheetos, Parmesan Cheese, mixed with old mushrooms, cod oil, and a soiled baby diaper under the seat! So there you go you make up your own mind. Deal with the misery of the commercial airline industry or pay a huge premium to be able to be driven right up to the jet on the tarmack? The exclusivity, privacy, and the ability to save time? Have a red carpet laid out for you, your favorite food professionally catered there and ready to eat. Fly to smaller regional airports with executive terminals with no rude TSA that ship your bags to indonesia no matter where you end up in the states! I think you get the picture. Which do you prefer?

Prevost Tour Bus Pictures and Jorge Bueno

Many of you have written and asked me to post pictures of the inside of a luxury motor coach or as many others know it as a "Tour Bus." Here you go. This is a converted Prevost XLII read more and see more pictures on the manufacturers site by CLICKING HERE! Depending on who does the conversion and build out of the interior, you can spend anywhere from $550,000 up to $2 Million for a nice tour bus. You can get bunk beds, a recording studio, stateroom, and if you get slide outs the body expands and created a larger space...but only while you're docked or parked. We always have high speed wireless internet and the DirectTV feed is constant because the antenna is adjusting as you drive to keep the connection with the satellites strong...it's the same system used on yachts. Stealing Flowers from The Opryland Resort!

Here I is at the Opryland resort in Nashville, Tennessee. Immediately after this picture was shot...I made a wonderful flower arrangement with their landscaping. That was only to justify the $4 water bottles inside and the log distances they make you walk within their resort. That place is Huuuge! I wish I had a Segway or at least someone to give me a piggyback ride! Just kidding about the flowers, I don't steal. Plus...they were not high quality. Nashville, TN. The Opryland Resort and Jorge Bueno

Here I am again at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, Their meeting spaces are fantastic. It's a completely enclosed city in there...it's huge. Remind me to stay at the Super 8 Motel next time! At dinner time...it would be easier to drive there, park near a particular restaurant on the north side...walk 20 paces and have dinner, than it is to walk the equivalent of 3 and a half miles from the south tower suites to the north side restaurants through winding paths and ponds, bridges, and slow walking people!
