Jorge Bueno in Puerto Penasco, (Rocky Point) Sonora

The road trip started Sunday Jan 23, drove from Los Angeles through San Diego and then passed through Tijuana, Mexicali, San Luis Rio, Sonoyta. Last night we arrived at Puerto Penasco, we had some Cervesas Micheladas (Beer with Lime juice, hot sauce) at my favorite restaurant "La Casa del Capitan!" It has the best view of the bay because it sits on the highest point of the city next to the lighthouse. I'm biased to the restaurant because some of my family operates it. Tomorrow, I leave to Hermosillo, Sonora! I will spend some days there interviewing Mariachi bands that can play our shows in Baja and head back to Los Angeles in a few days.

Freemasonry and Music

Last night I attended a ceremony of the installation of officers for Los Angeles No. 9 Knight Templars. I Love the outfits and what they stand for. I want to join them! Check this link out: http://knightstemplar.org Afterward, headed out to "Blues Cafe" in Long Beach, CA. We saw The Anthony Gomes Band. The place was packed and a lot of fun. We had to leave early because I leave for Mexico in the morning. This guitarist is very cool and the music is excellent, check him out: www.anthonygomes.com Jorge Bueno

Jorge Bueno at Benise Concert!

Wow, I saw a great concert last night. I was invited by a close friend to see Roni "Benise" perform at The Fred Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks at the Civic Arts Plaza. He does Spanish Guitar with a band and dancers. It's a spectacle! My friend has known Benise for years, I was able to meet him and the band after the show. He's a great guy. He will be in concert again Friday, June 10th 2005 at 8:00 pm @ The Grove in Anaheim, CA. You gotta check him out: www.benise.com
